Returning Precious Time to You and Your Family

Our collaborative model begins with a simple, yet critical conviction. God has entrusted parents with the primary calling to raise their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). FCA exists to come alongside you, not to replace you, so that school and home move in the same direction as God intends. Our model is designed to return precious time to your family: time to be together, to learn, to practice virtue, to talk, to read, to worship, and to grow. Far from sacrificing excellence, this shared rhythm strengthens both formation and academic progress within a joyful, engaged community.

Our students are on campus each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday receiving an academically excellent education with all the best parts of school life: dynamic classrooms, rich discussions, immersive learning experiences, and co-curricular activities. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, your child continues learning at home with detailed lesson plans, materials, and ongoing communication from your child's teacher.

In this model, you are not left to guess what your child is learning, but are equipped and invited to reinforce what is taught in class and to help shepherd your child's learning and formation. This intentional weaving together of home and school is at the heart of our mission. It is designed to strengthen families and form your child deeply, promoting in your child a devotion to Jesus Christ.

School at Home Days

In Grammar School, you serve as the primary educator at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, sitting side-by-side with your child working through the provided curriculum under the teacher's guidance. A typical school at home day in grammar usually lasts around two to five hours, depending on grade level and family rhythms.

In Secondary School, your child is given increasing responsibility for his own learning and work through the provided curriculum while you serve as a coach and guide, encouraging, checking in, reading along with them, asking questions, and helping them grow in maturity, discipline, and ownership. A typical school at home day in secondary usually lasts around five to eight hours, depending on grade level and family rhythms.

Partnership Beyond Academics

Our collaboration with you extends far beyond Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our parents are interwoven in the life of the FCA as welcomed, essential partners in our community, from on-campus activities and participating in school events, to the daily work of nurturing and formation at home. This is more than volunteering or simply staying involved. It is living out the shared commitment to your child's education and to the learning community that surrounds them.

It is through the faithful partnership of parents investing their gifts, time, and presence in the life of the school that FCA has a culture of shared purpose, meaningful connection, and growth. FCA is richer because of the unique and vital role parents play in our community.

“…the culture and customs which are consumed and conducted after school can either strengthen the work of teachers, or simply blot it out.”
