Art in Grammar School

Grammar school art will furnish your child with opportunities to study and imitate works of art, elements of art, and principles exemplified by master artists. They will gain new perspectives on art and an ever-increasing artistic ability, all within the context of understanding that beauty is from God.

Numerous opportunities to display their finished work will be afforded them, including our hallway gallery, Grandparents' Day, an art show, and regional competition in the spring. See a sample of FCA grammar school art below!

Music in the Grammar School

The grammar school music department provides musical experiences including dancing and singing games, attending group performances in the Kansas City area, and singing at our annual Christmas concert.  Students also develop music literacy skills in weekly music classes during the school day.

Students learn musical literacy through a varied repertoire, centered around hymns and folk songs with an emphasis on vocal development.

Grammar school students that take private music instruction outside of class are also provided with opportunities to play in school ensembles for chapels and other events.

Physical Education in Grammar School

In FCA's physical education program, your child will gain an understanding of what God created our bodies to do. As they progress through the grammar school, they will also explore how they can glorify God in their bodies.

Your child will learn various skills required for an assortment of fine and gross motor skill development. Students study basic body movements and teamwork in order to develop mobility, coordination, flexibility, sportsmanship, and problem-solving.
