Arts at FCA
Fine art has the propensity to train your child's soul and shape their character. It is an essential component of the Christian, classical education they will receive at FCA. We are committed to training your child using time-honored theory and the imitation of great works of art, so that your child may begin to delight in fine art and, when they are ready, attempt to make original works that are beautiful, useful, and enduring.
Performing Arts
FCA offers a robust and multi-faceted performing arts program. Throughout your child's time at FCA, they will engage in activities that build their confidence, including choir, orchestra, and theater.
Visual Arts
FCA's visual arts program begins in grammar school and builds on those early concepts as your child grows. Students participate in weekly art classes in grammar school and during their eighth grade year. In high school, students have the opportunity to take studio art and photojournalism.
“Fine art is the masterful aesthetic imitation of God’s creation, made primarily for the joy of its aesthetic value and beauty rather than a solely practical purpose.”
Zach Garrison, FCA Teacher, A Definition of Fine Art, and What to Do With It (Part 1)
