Beauty in Imitation
Beginning in grammar school, our art program points students towards excellence, teaching them to rely on master artists for their inspiration. Grammar school students participate in a weekly art class. In secondary, eighth grade students also take art, with additional art electives offered to high school students. FCA art classes are another example of our cross-curricular approach. What students study during art class often reflect and support concepts being learned in the classroom.

Studio Art
Our studio art class is offered in high school and builds on students' eighth grade art experiences. Students are introduced to mediums and techniques through hands-on exploration and discovery of artists and trends in visual art ranging from the Renaissance to postmodernism. They develop an understanding of elements and principles that help in designing and creating beautiful artwork.
Photojournalism
In our high school photo journalism class, your child will explore capturing memories in a way that inspires beauty. They will be given the opportunity to produce a yearly historical publication containing all aspects of FCA community life through discussion, planning, and execution, including learning how to shoot photos and design yearbook pages.
