Our Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith grounds us, keeps us accountable to you, and guards against straying away from our mission. The tenets are specific and leave no room for compromise. It is a document on which we rely and to which we strictly hold.

We invite you to take a look at it; in fact, it is important for you to know what it says because it is foundational and central to what and how we teach.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired and inerrant, and is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

(Matthew 5:18, 24:35; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe God exists eternally in three Persons as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, being one in substance and power, and equal in glory.

(Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Acts 7:54-60; 1 Corinthians 8:4; 2 Corinthians 3:17, 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6)

We believe in the true deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His imminent personal return in power and glory.

(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 28:1-10; John 1:1, 8:58, 20:28; Acts 2:22; Romans 8:34; Colossians 2:9; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 1:3, 8, 2:17; 1 Corinthians 15:14, 17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 4:15, 9:28; 1 Peter 3:22, 4:7; Revelation 1:7, 22:20)

We believe God created the heavens and the earth, and everything in them, in six literal days, by the power of His Word.

(Genesis 1:1-2:3; Exodus 20:11, 31:17)

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but by personal disobedience to the revealed will of God became a sinful creature and incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death for all mankind. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7; Romans 1:18, 5:12, 6:23)

We believe that all men are universally sinful by nature and in practice, do not do good nor seek after God, are alienated from God, and are under His wrath and condemnation. (Psalm 14:1-3; John 3:36; Romans 3:10-12, 23; 1 Corinthians 2:14)

We believe God the Father chose a people in Christ before the creation of the world and, in love, He predestined them to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:3-6)

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and repent of their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (John 1:12; Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is necessary. (Titus 3:4-6)

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. (John 1:12; Acts 4:12; Romans 6:23, 10:9-10, 11:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and are eager to guard the unity in the bond of peace.

(John 17; 1 Corinthians 12, 14; Ephesians 4:3)

We believe faith without works is dead. (Philippians 2:12, Ephesians 2:10, James 2:14-26)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:22-25)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation in hell.

(Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:29, 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:49-52; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-12)

We believe God created man, both male and female, in His image, and we believe each person was immutably assigned by God to be either male or female from birth. (Genesis 1:26-31; 2:18-25; 5:1, 2)

We believe each person is responsible to live their life according to the biological nature in which they were created so as to not reject the image of God within that person and sin against God. Further, we believe that God created male and female equal in dignity, essence, and value, but distinct in their role and responsibility in the home and church. (1 Timothy 2:11-12; Ephesians 5:22-33)

We believe marriage, as created, intended, and sanctioned by God, is the exclusive union of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy is only to take place within the confines and protection of marriage. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6)

We believe that any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 6:15-7:6; Ephesians 5:3-7)

We believe all people of every ethnic group bear the image of God, comprise the one race of humanity, and should be treated with equal dignity. We believe that every person must be afforded love, kindness, and respect.

(Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31)

We believe God created man in His image, therefore all human life has eternal value in all its dimensions. This includes pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139)
